Anyone with a Kraken account who opts in, and deposits $1,000+ in cash or crypto during October, or before the total community net deposits reach $500M. Only net deposits will count towards the match.
Net deposits add up across October once your net cash and crypto deposits total $1,000. After the initial $1,000 in net deposits is reached, all additional net cash and crypto deposits qualify for a match reward within the promotion period.
Net deposits are calculated by total cash and crypto deposited, minus withdrawals during the promotion period. Your deposits earn a 1% match rate, which can boost up to 2% based on community progress. The final rate is set based on the total community net deposit value at the end of the promo (Oct 31 or when $500M is reached).

Yes — if you are subscribed to Kraken+, you will automatically receive an extra 0.5% boost on your net deposits on top of the existing promotion tiers. The 0.5% boost will apply to all eligible deposits made from the point you opted in to the October Deposit Match. You must hold your Kraken+ subscription through November 1, 2026 to maintain the additional 0.5% deposit match.
Cash and crypto deposits made after the promotion ends will no longer earn a match. Participants will need to maintain a positive amount in net deposits for 12 months to prevent withdrawals from impacting their match payout.
No individual cap. The promo only ends when community net deposits reach $500M or October 31 passes.
To keep your match reward, your portfolio balance must stay at or above your net deposit amount during the promotion. Participating users may trade their deposits within Kraken. If withdrawing from your portfolio after October 31, 2025 (or when $500M net deposit level is reached by the collective participants) through November 1, 2026, the match reward may be subject to a chargeback if your portfolio balance is below the net deposit level that qualified for the match reward during the promotion.
Market fluctuations can affect your portfolio value, but they don’t impact your bonus directly. However, if your portfolio decreases and you withdraw funds, your match reward may be subject to removal.
Yes, net deposits on either app count toward your total, but you must first opt in through the Kraken app.
